DJ Buttke, ’86, Enters Chapter Eternal

David Joseph “DJ” Buttke, Beta Phi ’86, who was a commercial and high-end residential architect in Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Prescott died January 20, 2017 in Prescott. He was 55.

Brother Buttke was born in Tucson and grew up in the Phoenix area. He graduated from Central High School in Phoenix in 1979 and enrolled at the UA. He was initiated in 1980. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture in 1986.

He was a member of the Prescott Historical Committee.

Brother Buttke is survived by his mother, Sandra Sue Walker; a brother Blair, also Beta Phi Sig; and two sisters. A celebration of his life will be from 1-3 p.m. February 11 at United of Prescott Church, 145 S. Arizona Ave. Memorials may be sent to the Prescott Area Intergroup (prescottaa.org).
