The “Swede” Johnson Public Relations Program Award

This award is named after past Grand Consul Marvin “Swede” Johnson, Beta Phi ’50, whose life and work reflected the standards and values on which these awards are based.

AWARDS ARE BASED ON THE QUALITY, EXTENT AND DEPTH OF EFFORT BY CHAPTERS FOR:

  • Positive reputation
  • Creative and innovative programs to enhance Sigma Chi’s reputation
  • Projects to benefit those in need, both Sig-sponsored & those by others
  • Programs to support the host university’s educational programs, and events, which contribute to racial awareness and multi-cultural interchange
  • Materials and initiatives to obtain publicity/recognition for the above

The Beta Phi Chapter has been awarded the “Swede” Johnson Pubic Relations Program Award for the following academic years:
