Steve Schuyler '79 Inducted into the Order of Omega Hall of Fame

After graduating from Catalina High School in 1973, Steve entered the University of Arizona. After completing his freshman year, he entered the United States Army where he served overseas. He returned to the University of Arizona in January 1977 to complete his undergraduate degree and was initiated into Sigma Chi in the fall.

After numerous committee and chapter officer assignments, Steve served as consul (chapter president). After graduation, he served as chapter advisor and as a member of the Sigma Chi Building Company.

In 2003, Steve created the Beta Phi Educational Foundation Corporation, a 501(c)3. The corporation's mission is to support and contribute to excellence in education and leadership skills and achievement for the Beta Phi chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. This includes providing scholarships and mentoring for the undergrads.

Additionally, Steve created the Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter, also a 501(c)3 organization, for the purpose of maintaining brotherhood among alumni in Tucson. He has been awarded the Grand Consul’s citation four times and is a Life Loyal Sig. In 2019, Sigma Chi elected Steve as its 71st Grand Consul by unanimous acclimation of the Grand Chapter. This marked the pinnacle of his service to the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

The end product of his term in office resulted in Sigma Chi launching its Transformational Leader Program – a revolutionary leadership and personal development experience that will transform the fraternity and catapult it into the next generation. The Transformational Leader Program does not come to fruition without the incredible leadership, thoughtfulness and commitment that he provided.

Steve began his real estate career in 1979 with Coldwell Banker Real Estate Management Services. In 1984, he joined Consultant Property Management and Investors, Inc. as senior vice president, and was soon after named executive vice president and broker for consultant properties. In 1987, he jointly formed Partners Management and Consultants, Inc. Steve was awarded the professional designation of Real Property Administrator by the Building Owners and Managers Institute International in 1996, and the professional designation of Facilities Management Administrator in 2000.
