During his time at the university, Tyler was the Consul, Philanthropy Chairman and Ritual Chairman for Beta Phi and in Eller Elite on campus. He states: “ My grandfather is a Beta Phi Sigma Chi from the 1950’s so I grew up with Beta Phi in my family and I wanted to continue that legacy. Beta Phi transformed me into the man I am today. I developed friendships that will last a lifetime. Always remember, Sigma Chi is a lifelong commitment and brotherhood”. Lastly, his best advice for undergraduates is “get involved as much as you can. It’s never too early to start building your resume and growing your network. The learning never stops, reading and learning new skills - outside of the scope of school”.

Matt states: “Beta Phi means holding yourself to a higher standard than other individuals and by doing so, putting yourself in the best possible position to succeed. This success is a product of your Beta Phi brothers around you and the personal responsibility that you apply to yourself. I have seen firsthand that the Beta Phi friendships of all ages go past undergrad and become even stronger after graduation”.
